With different formulas, meant to meet any kind of interest, the two Famiglia Cotarella wineries open their gates to those who are eager to discover the world behind every label of ours.

Our origins

Tour & wine tasting

An itinerary that explores the wines where it all began, first in Lazio and then in Umbria. The tour includes a guided tour of the winery and a tasting of two wines, Poggio dei Gelsi and Trentanni, paired with bread and our own Marciliano olive oil.

Duration approximately two hours, minimum two people.

Tour & wine tasting

A proposal exploring the history, tradition, and the great passion of the Cotarella Family for wine. The proposal includes a guided tour of the winery and a tasting of two selected Crus among Verdeluce, Soente, Trentanni, and Sodale, paired with a platter of local cured meats and bread with our own-produced Marciliano olive oil.

“Cru & terroir”

Tour & wine tasting

An experience rich in emotions discovering the iconic wines of Famiglia Cotarella. The proposal includes a guided tour of the winery with a tasting of four Crus: Verdeluce, Sorélle, Montiano, and Ogrà, accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, focaccia, and bread with our own-produced Marciliano olive oil.

Tour & wine tasting

An enchanting experience discovering the excellences of the Cotarella Family. lt begins with a pleasant walk in the vineyard and the visit continues in the cellar following the entire winemaking process. Finally, we descend into the heart of the cellar: we arrive in the Barricaia where the lunch-tasting takes place in the special room dedicated to it. The experience includes a technical tasting of four cru wines from the Cotarella Family, paired with a menu made from local products that is tied to the seasonality and availability from our garden. Everything is homemade according to the recipes of our grandmother Grazia.

“Aperitivo in vigna”

Tour & wine tasting

An atmospheric experience in close contact with nature, bathed in the warm light of the sunset over the Val d’Orcia. The experience includes a guided tour of the cellar and vineyards, followed by happy hour in the vineyard from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The tasting features our Rosso, Brunello, and Brunello Riserva, paired with Tuscan schiaccia, a platter of local cold cuts, Pienza pecorino cheese, and bread with our own Le Macioche olive oil.

Searching for the horizon among the vineyards, smelling the scent of the places, lying on the lawn at sunset, simply letting yourself go, following the slow rhythm of nature, tasting excellent wines and sampling local dishes.

The aperitif in the vineyard is an all-encompassing experience that involves our entire being, the flavors are enhanced by the surrounding environment in a bucolic setting that evokes a sense of physical and mental satisfaction.
The proposal includes three glasses of Famiglia Cotarella accompanied by homemade focaccia, grandma's paté, fried delights, vegetables from the garden and other local dishes that vary according to the seasons. The aperitif is organized in the vineyards adjacent to Fattoria Tellus, in the outdoor spaces of the guesthouse or in the Sala dei Cavalli.

Possibility of babysitting at our educational farm.
The experience is available from May to September.
