Xavier Durand started his oenological career when he was very young and since then he has focused on his own seven hectares, which he inherited from his grandfather Alexis who bought the vineyards in the Côte de Nuits-Villages, Bourgogne and Ladoix. Later in the 80s his father René added Corton and Aloxe-Corton. In 2009 when he comes into possession of the family estate in Combianchien, he produces his first vintage which is immediately acclaimed by the critics.
