The color is golden and it shows a certain ripeness. The effervescence is long lasting and the mousse is persistent and delicate with a fine perlage. There is a good balance between primary (fruity), secondary (bread, butter, cookies) and tertiary (mineral and spicy) flavors. The wine has a lively taste, a good acidity and effervescence and an intense freshness. The balance is due to the wine finesse. The finishing is long lasting and mineral.

A family company founded in 1890 with Desiré Vilmart Laurent Champs, (chef de cave, last descendant and fifth generation of the Vilmart family). It combines the organic approach with traditional wine-making where fermentation and fining take place in wooden casks and, above all, there is no malolactic fermentation consequently the natural acidity of the grapes remains intact. The estate, in the Montagne de Reims region, is made up of 11 hectares divided into 12 lots. There are seven Cuvées.
